Tasty Drop

Tasty Drop gives you a dish that is finished except for one thing, and the one thing has to fall into place.

The whole game is that drop. You slide the ingredient along the top of the screen, let go, and the physics take over: it bounces, it hits whatever is in the way, and it either lands in the bowl or it does not.

Between the ingredient and the plate the game puts obstacles at awkward angles, plates that move and platforms to bounce off, so the answer is rarely straight down. It is solved by trying, watching what the bounce does and adjusting, which is a different kind of thinking from the recipe games around it.

Nothing is cooked here, and that is worth knowing before you start.

How to play Tasty Drop

Line it up, let go, watch the bounce

  • Look at where the bowl is and what sits between you and it.
  • Move the ingredient left and right to find the line.
  • Release it and watch how it bounces off what it hits.
  • Adjust and try again if it misses.
  • Land it in the bowl to finish the dish and move on.

Controls

Click or tap, move left and right to position, then release to drop. There is nothing else to press.

Tips and strategy

Aim at the obstacle rather than the bowl when the drop is blocked, because a deliberate bounce off a surface is usually the intended answer and a straight line almost never is. Watch where a failed attempt ends up: it tells you which way the surface throws things. Moving plates want timing as well as position.
