Cooking Frenzy starts at a food truck rather than in a restaurant, working for Olivia and Chef Gustavo, and the goal of each level is a money target rather than a time survived.
Orders appear above the customers' heads and the dishes are quick, so the pressure comes from how many are waiting rather than from any one of them being difficult. Food left on the heat burns and cannot be served, which is the main way a level goes wrong.
Takings go back into the place between levels, and new recipes unlock as you progress, so the menu widens rather than the pace rising.
How to play Cooking Frenzy
Read, cook, serve, spend
- Read the whole queue before starting. Several customers often want the same thing and can be cooked together.
- Put food on the heat for the orders you can see, not for the one at the front, but pull it the moment it is ready.
- Serve immediately. A finished dish occupying a station blocks the next one.
- Between levels, upgrade the station that has cost you the most standing around.
Controls
Click or tap an ingredient, then the customer or the station. It plays on a phone as well as a computer.
Tips and strategy
Watch the back of the queue rather than the front, because the money target is reached by throughput and not by any single sale. Burned food costs twice, the ingredient and the time, so take things off a beat early. When a level will not pass, the upgrade is usually the answer rather than quicker hands.
