Hot Dog Bush is a stand game with a joke attached: the former American president has left office and is selling hot dogs on a New York street. The premise is the only political thing about it. Everything after the title screen is an ordinary and rather good counter game.
Customers queue at the cart and each one shows what they want above their head. You grill sausages, dress buns with the right toppings, hand them over and take the money, with a daily target to hit before the day closes.
Overcooking is the real enemy. A sausage left on the grill is thrown away, and the time spent on it is gone with it.
How to play Hot Dog Bush
Working the cart
- Watch the thought bubbles. They are the order, and they appear before the customer reaches the front, so you can start grilling early.
- Put sausages on the grill ahead of demand, but only as many as the queue justifies, because the grill keeps cooking whether you are watching or not.
- Dress the bun with exactly what was asked for. A wrong topping is a refused sale, not a partial one.
- Serve quickly for a bigger tip, and keep the queue short, because a customer who waits too long walks away.
