Pizza Challenge is a reaction game for two people at one keyboard, and it is worth saying plainly that nothing is cooked in it. A pizza arrives at the table and both players grab for the slices.
Whoever takes five of them first wins the pizza. A slice only counts if it is snatched at the right point in its travel, which means the game is about the moment rather than about speed over time, and a wrong grab gives the slice away.
There is a practice mode against the computer for playing alone, but the game is built for two and is at its best that way.
How to play Pizza Challenge
Wait, grab, count to five
- Pick a two-player match or practise against the computer.
- Watch the slice reach the middle of the table. Grabbing early takes nothing.
- Hit your key at the right moment: the first player uses W and the second uses the Up arrow.
- Take five slices from each pizza to win the round.
Controls
Two keys on one keyboard: W for the first player, the Up arrow for the second. Clicking or tapping works on the touch version.
Tips and strategy
Watch the table rather than your opponent, since the timing window is the same for both of you and the only thing you control is your own moment. Resist the first twitch: an early grab costs the slice, and that is how most rounds are actually lost rather than won.
