Hippo Pizza Chef is a puzzle wearing an apron. You play the hippo behind the counter, but nothing is cooked: the pizza arrives in slices and the job is putting them on the plate in the arrangement the customer asked for.
Each order shows you the layout it wants, and you have a limited number of moves to reproduce it. That limit is the pressure, not a clock, so a wrong slice costs an attempt rather than a few seconds, and the game is about planning the sequence before touching anything.
Coins come in per order and buy the cosmetic side of it, outfits for the hippo and new plates to serve on, which gives a reason to keep clearing stages.
