Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Shortcake
Strawberry Shortcake is not a baking game, whatever the name promises. It is a service counter, and the business about leaving home for the city to train as a baker is framing rather than something you play through.
Two things are for sale. Drinks arrive ready: one touch on a filled mug and that person is dealt with. Everything demanding happens on the griddle, where batter is poured, lifted at precisely the right instant, plated, and finished with whichever of pink icing, whipped cream or strawberries the order named.
Nobody here is racing a countdown. Each customer carries a patience bar instead, draining at its own rate, which makes reading the room more useful than watching a timer. The range of plates, mugs and toppings widens as you work, and that is how the late orders get awkward.
How to play Strawberry Shortcake
Mug, griddle, plate, hand over
- Check the bubble over each customer to see what was ordered.
- For a drink, touch a filled mug. Nothing further is needed.
- Pour batter and keep your eye on it. A blink of red means it is done.
- Shift it onto a free plate and finish it with what was named.
- Deliver it while that person's patience bar still has something left in it.
Controls
Click or tap the mugs, the griddle, the plates and the toppings. No keyboard is involved.
Tips and strategy
Pour a round of drinks whenever the griddle is occupied, because a filled mug costs you nothing and a pancake costs you attention. Judge urgency by whose bar is emptiest instead of who arrived first, since they do not drain at the same speed. And once the toppings widen out, keep the newest ones in sight: those are what the difficult late orders ask for.

Frequently asked questions
What do you make in the game?
Pancakes and coffee at a small stand. The coffee pours itself and the pancakes are the part that needs watching.
What toppings are there?
Pink icing, whipped cream and strawberries, with more plates and mugs opening up as you progress.
Is it free?
Yes, free in the browser with no account and no payment, on a phone or a computer.
Why do customers leave?
Each one has a patience bar next to their order. When it empties they go, so the order of service matters more than speed alone.
