Chocolate Pizza

Chocolate Pizza takes the shape of a pizza and swaps out everything that makes it savoury.

The dough is real enough: ingredients are mixed and rolled out into the familiar round. Then the substitution happens, and chocolate sauce goes on where the tomato would be, which is the joke the whole game rests on.

It bakes on the stone like a pizza would, and the sweets go on before it cools, so they stick. Gummy bears, Oreo pieces, more chocolate, fruit, nuts, caramel and other sweets are all there to be used, and nothing limits the combination.

Then it is cut into slices and served, which is the last thing that makes it a pizza rather than a tray of chocolate.

Tips and strategy

Load the sweets on before the base cools, because that is what holds them and it is the one piece of timing in the game. Roll the dough out evenly: a thick middle takes the whole look with it. Mix textures rather than colours, since gummy and biscuit read differently on a dark base while two bright sweets just blur.

Frequently asked questions

Is chocolate pizza a real thing?

Yes, as a dessert: a pizza base with chocolate instead of tomato, topped with sweets. The game follows that idea.

Do you make the dough?

Yes. The ingredients are mixed and the dough is rolled out before any chocolate goes near it.

Is it timed?

No listing describes a clock or a score. The only timing is getting the sweets on while the chocolate is warm.

Is this Sara's Cooking Class chocolate pizza?

No, that is a different game with a real baking recipe. This one is the candy-topped dessert pizza.
