Cook And Decorate

Cook and Decorate runs two economies at once, and understanding which is which is most of the game. Cooking earns coins, and coins buy equipment: a juice maker, better pans, more on the menu.

Finishing a stage earns stars, and stars buy furnishings. This is the decorating half, and it is worth being clear that it means the room rather than the food. Flowers, a rug, a refrigerator and the walls themselves all come out of the stars, so the place changes as you work rather than being chosen at the start.

The service in between is ordinary time management with one real pressure: customers sour and walk out if the tables are slow, and each stage has its own limit.

How to play Cook And Decorate

Serve for coins, finish stages for stars

Take the orders and get the food out before anyone gets tired of waiting.
Collect the coins as they come in and put them into equipment and menu upgrades.
Finish the stage inside its time limit to earn the stars.
Spend the stars on the room: furniture, decoration and the walls.
Carry the better kitchen into the next stage, which assumes you bought it.

Tips and strategy

Buy equipment before furnishings, because the coins keep the kitchen fast and the stars only change how it looks, and a stage failed on time pays nothing either way. Clear an unwanted dish rather than leaving it in the way. Upgrade the menu as soon as it is offered, since the later stages are priced as though you did.
