Papa's Sushiria

Papa's Sushiria is the series doing sushi, and it adds a station the others do not have: before any order is built, rice has to be cooked, and it is cooked in batches rather than per customer.

An order names a rice, a wrapper, fillings and toppings, plus a drink. You roll it, cut it, dress it and serve it with the tea the ticket asked for, which means two tracks running at once rather than a single build.

Flipline calls that all-in-one rice station the Sushi Square. The shop opens because Papa Louie's lucky cat statue gets broken, Vincent the postman turns up with coupons, and a hundred and six named customers come through before the game closes at rank sixty-five. The rice is what new players underestimate: running out mid-service stops everything.

How to play Papa's Sushiria

Rice, roll, cut, pour

  • Keep rice cooking from the start of the day. It is the only ingredient that takes time to exist, and an empty rice cooker halts the counter.
  • Lay the wrapper and the fillings in the order the ticket lists, because sequence is scored as well as contents.
  • Roll and cut to the number of pieces asked for, not the number that looks even.
  • Pour the drink and plate it with the sushi. The tea is part of the order and is scored with it.

Controls

Mouse only, since this is Flash through an emulator with no touch support. A phone shows the restaurant but cannot work it.

Tips and strategy

Cook rice between orders rather than when you need it, and keep both cookers going during a rush. Pour the drink while the roll is being cut, because that is dead time otherwise. The ticket's piece count is the detail most often missed, and it costs as much as a wrong filling.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play Papa's Sushiria on a phone?

No. It is Flash running through an emulator, which has no touch support, so it needs a mouse.

Why do I keep running out of rice?

Rice is cooked in batches and takes real time, so it has to be started before the queue forms. Keep a cooker running between orders rather than reacting to an empty one.

What ingredients are in it?

Two rices, several wrappers, a set of fillings and toppings, and a drinks station. More unlock as the days pass rather than all being available on the first day.

Is Papa's Sushiria free?

Yes, free in the browser with no account and no payment at any point.
