Sara's Cooking Class - Garlic Pepper Shrimp

Garlic Pepper Shrimp is one of the hotter episodes Sara teaches: fried shrimp built on a pressed garlic paste with chilli pepper flakes running through it.

It runs in four stages and the prep is the longest of them. Onions and cilantro are cut, the cabbage is shredded, and the garlic cloves are pressed into a paste before any pan is touched.

The cabbage goes in next, fried in oil and arranged on the plate as a green bed for what follows. Then the shrimp go into the garlic paste with chilli flakes, the onion, the cilantro, soy sauce, salt and water joining them.

The last move is plating: everything out of the pan onto the cabbage, with the remaining cilantro over the top.

Controls

Mouse only. The game is Flash running through an emulator, so trace the arrows with the pointer to stir, chop and peel; a touch screen will not work it.

Tips and strategy

Press the garlic before anything meets heat, since the paste is what the shrimp are fried in and stopping to make it mid-pan is where runs slow down. Trace the arrows smoothly rather than quickly: finishing a stage early earns bonus points but a broken stroke has to be redone. Keep some cilantro back for the top.
