Cake Shop

Cake Shop, whose full name is Cake Shop: Bakery, puts the bakery on wheels. Rather than one shop, you work a travelling bakery that moves from place to place, taking the customers of each new stop as you arrive.

Every cake is made from scratch in the same short sequence: ingredients into the bowl, mixed, poured into a tin and baked, then decorated to whatever the customer asked for. Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry are the flavours the game is built around.

Nothing is timed, which is unusual for the genre, so the pressure comes from matching orders rather than beating a clock. New decorations open up as you work, and they are the reason to keep going rather than the earnings.

How to play Cake Shop

Mix, bake, decorate, move on

Click the waiting customer to take their order into the kitchen.
Drag the ingredients into the bowl and mix them together.
Pour the batter into the tin and bake it.
Choose the decorations the order calls for and finish the cake.
Clear the stop and take the bakery to the next one.

Played with the mouse: drag ingredients, click the menus and click to finish each cake.

Tips and strategy

Check what the customer asked for before you reach the decorating menu, because that is the only place an order can go wrong and backing out of it wastes the bake. Work one cake fully through rather than starting several, since nothing runs on a clock. Each new stop brings decorations the previous one did not have, so expect the orders to get more specific.
