Max Mixed Cocktails is a guessing game dressed as a bar. The recipes are not handed to you: the collection page lists the drinks by name, Blazing Inferno, Lift Off, Beauty on the Rock, Conqueror, Princess in the Castle, Huge Tide and the rest, and you work out what goes in each by trying.
Every attempt at a drink unlocks a little more of its hint, so a failed cocktail is progress rather than a loss. That is the loop, and it is why most people arrive looking for the recipes.
Pouring is the part that takes practice. A bar at the corner of the shaker shows how full it is, and you decide whether to fill it or leave room for ice and a topping before you mix and taste.
How to play Max Mixed Cocktails
Pour, mix, taste, record
- Open the collection and pick a drink by name. The hints you have so far are shown there, and they grow with each attempt.
- Choose the spirits and mixers, watching the fill bar. Leaving room for ice is sometimes the point of a recipe.
- Press mix, then taste. The result tells you how close you were without telling you the answer.
- Try the same drink again rather than moving on. A second attempt comes with more of the hint than the first did.

Click or tap a bottle to pour and the buttons to mix and taste. It plays on a phone as well as a computer.
Tips and strategy
Work one drink until it is solved instead of sampling the whole list, because the hints only deepen on the cocktail you are actually attempting. Note what a wrong mix tasted like before changing two things at once. The fill bar is the detail most people miss: several recipes are correct in contents and wrong only in how full the shaker was.
