Papa's Burgeria
Papa's Burgeria is the second game in the series and the one that added spending. You pick Marty or Rita, take burger orders at the counter, cook the patties to the doneness each customer asked for, stack the build in the right order and hand it over, then spend the tips in the Upgrade Shop on furniture, posters and tools.
The grill is what makes it harder than Pizzeria. Two patties can want different cooking times in the same order, and both are ruined by the same moment of inattention, because nothing warns you that a patty has gone past done.
Over forty named customers unlock as you go, each with a burger they always want. The lobby spending is not decoration: a better lobby keeps customers patient, which buys you room at the grill.
How to play Papa's Burgeria
Counter, grill, build, spend
- Take the order and read the doneness as carefully as the toppings. Rare and well done are different patties, not different presentation.
- Put the patties on and flip them when the marker says, then pull them at the line rather than when the next order distracts you.
- Stack from the bottom up in the order the ticket lists. The build is scored on sequence, not just on contents.
- Spend the tips between days. Furniture and posters raise how long customers will wait before giving up.
Controls
Mouse only. The game is Flash through an emulator, which has no touch support, so a phone will show it but cannot play it. Clicking and dragging moves patties, buns and toppings.
Tips and strategy
Start the patties before you finish reading the toppings, because the grill is the slow station and the build is the fast one. Spend early tips on seating rather than decoration: patience bought at the lobby is time earned at the grill. Two patties at different doneness are the usual cause of a bad day.
