Papa's Taco Mia
Papa's Taco Mia
Papa's Taco Mia is the taqueria, and the job arrives the way these jobs always do: you win a taco-eating contest and inherit the counter.
Three stations carry an order. You take it in the lobby, cook, flip and cut the meat at the grill, then build the taco at the third station, choosing beef or chicken and a hard or soft shell before the toppings go on.
Papa keeps a diary of what each customer likes, and learning those preferences is what earns badges. The Closers turn up later and want everything close to perfect, which is where the rank ladder stops being a formality.
How to play Papa's Taco Mia
Order, grill, build
- Take the order in the lobby and keep the shell and the meat in mind: they are chosen before any topping.
- Grill the meat, flip it on the mark and cut it, then pour it into the shell.
- Spread the toppings evenly and keep a good amount in the middle, because a taco that spills loses points for presentation.
- Check for new arrivals while the meat is cooking rather than after, since the grill is the only station with a wait.
Controls
Mouse only. This is Flash through an emulator with no touch support, so a phone draws the taqueria but cannot operate it.
Tips and strategy
Use the grill time to take the next order instead of standing over it, which is the habit the game is really teaching. Read Papa's diary once a customer has visited twice; the badges come from knowing their usual rather than from serving faster. Even spreading beats generous piling every time.
