Real Donuts Cooking teaches rather than tests. The game shows you the sequence first, as a demonstration, and then asks you to repeat it by clicking the right tool or ingredient at each point.

Because the order is fixed, there is nothing to work out and nothing to lose. The game simply waits until the correct thing is clicked, which makes it one of the more forgiving kitchen games and a reasonable one for a child to be left with.

The second half is the decorating, and that has no fixed answer at all. A glaze is chosen first, then sprinkles and the rest of the toppings go on freely, so the donuts that come out of it are yours rather than the recipe's.

How to play Real Donuts Cooking

Watch, repeat, glaze, sprinkle

Let the demonstration play through once.
Click the tool or the ingredient the game is pointing at.
Work through the sequence in the order it gives you.
Choose a glaze for the finished donut.
Add the sprinkles and the other toppings however you like.

Tips and strategy

Watch the demonstration properly rather than clicking through it, since the game follows exactly that order afterwards and the only friction comes from guessing. Nothing is timed, so there is no reason to rush a step. Keep the glaze and the sprinkles in different colours, because the decorating is the part you are left looking at.
