Cooking Scene starts you at the bottom. You are the dishwasher, not the chef, and the job titles come later, which is a rarer framing than it sounds in a genre where you usually inherit a restaurant on the first screen.
Four restaurants make up the game and only one is open when you begin. Clearing levels earns the money that unlocks the rest, and the orders are burgers and hot dogs built by dragging buns and ingredients onto the plate, then clicking to cook.
Earnings also buy equipment, new plates, better pans, more ingredients, so the kitchen improves alongside the job title.
How to play Cooking Scene
Drag, cook, serve, promote
- Pick the restaurant that is open. The others unlock through progress rather than choice.
- Drag the buns and the ingredients onto the plate in the order the ticket lists.
- Click an ingredient to cook it, then drag the finished meal to the customer before the timer runs out.
- Spend what you earn on plates and pans, which is what makes the next restaurant survivable.

Tips and strategy
Buy the equipment before moving on, because each new restaurant assumes the previous one paid for its upgrades. Work the drag-then-cook rhythm rather than doing one order end to end; the pans hold more than you think. The promotion is the goal, so the money matters more than any single level's score.
