Sweetest Pancake Challenge

Sweetest Pancake Challenge is a stacking and decorating game with an opinion at the end of it. You build a pancake dish layer by layer, and then it gets marked.

The two modes pull in different directions. Challenge mode gives you a reference to copy, so the work is accuracy: the right layers, the right coating, the fruit in the right places. Creativity mode takes the reference away and lets you build whatever you want from the layers, cream, fruit and toppings available.

The judges rate the result on taste, originality and looks, which is the detail that stops the free mode being pointless: a dish with everything on it does not score as well as one that holds together.

How to play Sweetest Pancake Challenge

Stack it, top it, hand it to the judges

Choose between the mode that gives you a recipe and the one that does not.
In the challenge, study the picture first: layers, coating, fruit and where each goes.
Stack the pancakes, then add cream between or over them.
Finish with fruit and the toppings you want on it.
Submit the dish and read what the judges thought.

Controls

Click or tap to pick a layer or a topping and place it. The game is built for touch as well as for a mouse.

Tips and strategy

In the challenge, count the layers before you add anything, since a stack one short cannot be corrected at the top. In the free mode, restraint scores better than volume: the marks go on how the dish looks and on originality, and a tower of everything reads as neither. Pick two toppings that contrast and leave the rest alone.
